Brand new offering - in order to better meet the needs of our female clients, we have added a special employment workshop, facilitated by Kamilah Richardson, Sr. Service Coordinator, for women in the morning. This is a 4 hour, 2 day workshop, and both Part I and Part II are required.

Women’s - 4 hours, Part I and Part II, from 10 AM until noon

  • Part I, Wed. Dec. 9 and Part II, Wed. Dec. 16 from 10-12 a.m.

Men’s - 2 hours, 1 PM until 3 PM

  • Men’s Employment Workshop Thurs. November 19th, 2015 from 1-3 p.m.
  • Men’s Employment Workshop Thurs. December 17th, 2015, from 1-3 p.m.

Description - Employment Workshop
All clients who are interested in attending need to sign up for a workshop in advance by signing your name to the Employment Workshop registration list. Or sign up for one or two upcoming dates by calling 325-7727.

Did you know that your employment rights are protected by New York state law? Attend this workshop to obtain tips and information on applying for jobs when you have a criminal record (employee rights, how to understand your criminal record, job application, fields of work, etc.). We will also discuss Certificates of Relief/Good Conduct and provide information and referrals for online job-search help, résumé services, and legal assistance for employment discrimination issues. A 50-page ex-offender employment manual written by JPC staff is available free of charge.
